Rostov State Medical University is one of the leading Russian Medical Universities, providing a broad set of educational programs. Teaching staff of the University consists of scientists and medical practitioners who are committed to their work.
Established in the year 1930, Rostov State Medical University is the largest basic and training research center in Southern Russia. Over the 85 years of its existence, it has become a diversified complex with 10 faculties, Medical College, Military Training Center and its own Clinic.
Today in the Rostov State Medical University operate more than 100 departments. More than 600 teachers are constantly working introducing innovations and interactive forms of learning. Among them there are 212 Doctors of Medical Science, 101 professors and 624 PhD. Every year about 8000 doctors are retraining on the faculty training and more than 1000 interns and residents at the Faculty of Professional Retraining.
The Rostov State Medical University has its own well-developed academic infrastructure, which includes the unique medical library, a University Clinic, a sports and leisure complex and a network of hostels for students. Students have the access to the free Internet, electronic library resources, and other modern means of communication during their training.
